101 N. Charles Street, also known as the Jefferson Building, is located in the heart of Baltimore’s central business district, along historic Charles Street. The Jefferson Building was constructed in 1902 and consists of 12 stories (plus basement). The project entails converting the office building into an “extended-stay” Staybridge hotel, with 102 guest apartments. In addition to the lobby and reception, common areas will include an exercise room, guest laundry, business center and meeting space, and a roof-top patio for weekly bar-b-ques. Part of the first floor will be set aside as a commercial tenant space Full architectural and interior design services are being provided, as well as applications for Federal and State Historic Tax Credits.
